Plunge

Comes a time when once again

we get a chance to test the waters

and though we know

we should lead with our toes

instead we plunge in head first.

The water’s deep and current strong

but there is no fear of dying

cause we’ve been here before

and know all the strokes

and won’t again float without trying.
