Thirsty

The situation went from bad to thirst

When the barstool regained its luster

Enough white flags flown in surrender

Slowly tainted red and going under

Smoky rooms and bluesy music

Sung raspy magnetically grasping

Tugging at a romance long since abandoned

Compelled beyond reason once again

The parchment foretold the arid tale

Of a drought satiated in torrents

And the recurrence of a torrid relationship

Almost always concluded by warrants
