Exhaling all of lexis in complexity

When writing verse responsibility

Is charged to those with poets eyes to see

Unfettered patterns

Lacking pre-destined structure

Flow much more freely

With essence unrestricted

The concepts stream organic

Concluding as predicted

Without a sense of panic

These words

Loosely rendered

Intended as they’re heard

Not sounding forced but surrendered

They fall upon the ear more musically

And seem less awkward when recited thus

As though no thought was strained while being penned

The way that written word was meant to be

The burden of arrangement falls on us

For all the rules exist for us to bend
