Standing Taller

No longer cowering at the crack of the whip

Vertebrae slowly fuse as fear dissipates

Refusing to bite my tongue to spite my lip

Accommodating self worth to conquer hate

This place is no longer a squalor for squatters

Slowly sweeping the past under the carpet

Time’s cleansing allows my standing a bit taller

Erasing the bulls eye from my minds target

A deserved respite accomplished with motion

A life flourished by confidence in action

Rejuvenating the previous stagnation

Breathing deep replenishing the oxygen
